Live Auctions “Buyer’s Premium”
A premium will be added to the Hammer Price of the Lot and is payable by the Buyer as part of the total purchase price of that lot at the following rates:
22% up to $75,000 (UAE DHS 275,000 ) of the Hammer Price.
15% from $75,001 (UAE DHS 275,037) to $750,000 (UAE DHS 2,752,500) of the Hammer Price
12% above $750,000 (UAE DHS 2,752,500) of the Hammer Price.
For all Lots, taxes (where required) are payable on the Hammer Price at the applicable rate.

Online Auctions “Buyer’s Premium”
25% is added to the hammer price, which covers the buyer’s premium .
Certain items are sold according to special rules for full VAT. In these cases, a VAT is calculated on both the hammer price and the buyer’s premium.

Live Auction – How to Bid
Everyone is welcome at our Live Auctions and it’s easy to place a bid. Before bidding at a Live Auction, you must register as a customer at our webite platform For assistance with registering, please contact us info@ingotauctions.com .

There are FOUR different options for bidding at a Live Auction – choose whichever suits you best.

1-Bidding in the Auction Room
You must be registered and present your photo ID at Reception. You also need to be issued with a bidding card before the auction. To get the auctioneer’s attention when you want to bid on an item, raise your bidding sign, so the auctioneer can see your Unique number.

2-Live Bidding
You can follow the auction live and bid online at Ingorauctions.com Before placing a live bid for the first time, you’ll need to sign up as a customer and register your debit/credit card. This will take a few minutes, so be sure to do it well in advance of the auction.

3-Commission Bids
You can place your bid at www.ingotauctions.com (click on the item in question) up to the start of the auction or, at least 24 hours prior, email your commission bid to bids@ingotauctions.com or by phone +971 50 380 3799. An employee at INGOT AUCTION will bid on your behalf during the auctin.

4-Telephone Bidding
You have the option of receiving a phone call from an employee at INGOT AUCTION , who will bid on your behalf during the auction. This service can be booked at www.Ingotauctions.com (click on the item in question) until three hours before the start of the auction. It can also be booked by emailing Bids@Ingot Auctions.com or phoning +971 50 380 3799 up to 24 hours prior to the auction.

Please note: When bidding on Live Auction, in some cases you will have to register in advance and pay a deposit.

Online Auction – How to Bid

Create an Account or a Login

Before bidding at an Online Auction, log on at Ingotauctions.com using your email address or Customer Number . If you are not already a customer, you must sign up as a customer and, for security reasons, register your payment information on our website , If you need assistance with registering, please contact us finance@Ingotauctions.com

Biding at an Online Auction

Find the item you are interested in at the Auction and read the description carefully. You can choose to place your bids individually during the auction or to place a maximum bid.

If you choose to place a maximum bid, we’ll be sure to bid on your behalf until you are the highest bidder or your maximum bid is reached.

If you’re outbid, we’ll notify you by email.

Amounts Added to the Hammer Price

  1.  In addition to the hammer price, the buyer pays a buyer’s premium for the individual items. The total amount that the buyer pays to INGOT AUCTIONS is called the “purchase price”.

1.1 Buyer’s Premium: The hammer price always includes an additional fee to Ingot Auction. At the Online Auctions, the fee consists of 25% of the hammer price + VAT applicable , if the VAT is 5% then the fees will be 27% in total.

1.2  Full VAT: Certain items are sold at auction in accordance with the current rules regarding full VAT. In such a situation, a VAT  is imposed on both the hammer price and the buyer’s premium. These items are marked on our Auction with the symbol “*”, or with the text: “This item is subject to full VAT”.

Save Your Favourites

Once you’ve found something that you’re considering bidding on, you can mark it with the heart symbol next to the item to save it to your favourites. When you log in to your personal profile at INGOT AUCTION, you can find the items you’ve marked as favourites under “Bookmarked items”.

Create a Search Agent

Under your personal profile at INGOT AUCTION, you can create a search agent if you’re interested in following selections by a particular artist or designer. We’ll send you a notification when a work by that name comes up for auction.

 

Payment, Collection and Transportation

 

Payment: Live Auction

A Live Auction purchase must be paid for within eight days of the hammer falling. You have two payment options as below :-

1– At the auction house by debit/credit card or in cash up to 25,000 USD or 36,500 DHS ; or by Chq or by bank transfer to our bank Bank. 

 

Payment: Online Auction

When purchasing at an Online Auction, immediately after the hammer falls the money is automatically charged to the debit/credit card that you registered before the auction under your personal profile at INGOT AUCTION.

 

Collection or Shipment

After a Live Auction or an Online Auction, you can collect your purchase within a certain time limit from the address stated in the email we send to you in connection with your purchase.

If you’re unable to collect your purchase yourself, you have a number of options. You can send someone else or a courier who may receive your purchase on presentation of due authorisation. You can also request our logistic team for a quote for Packing / transportation to your destination  . For small items, you can request shipping. We’ll let you know the cost when you bid on an item.
