1. General Policy
All sales on Ingot Auction are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for items purchased through our auctions unless specified in the conditions of the auction or required by law. Please carefully review the auction listing, including item descriptions and photographs, before placing a bid.
2. Item Condition and Descriptions
Ingot Auction provides detailed descriptions, photographs, and condition reports for each item listed in our auctions. While we strive for accuracy, all items are sold as-is, and bidders are encouraged to thoroughly inspect or inquire about any item before placing a bid.

3. Exceptions to the No-Return Policy
Returns may be considered in the following circumstances:
Significant Misrepresentation: If an item is materially different from its description or the photographs provided (e.g., a piece of art listed as an original but is found to be a reproduction), you may request a return. Claims for significant misrepresentation must be made within 48 hours from the date you receive the item.
Damaged Items: If an item is damaged during shipping or delivery, please contact us immediately within 48 hours of receiving the item. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include offering a replacement, a repair, or a refund in accordance with the circumstances.
Lost Items: If an item is lost during transit, we will assist in filing a claim with the carrier and will resolve the issue according to the shipping terms outlined in the auction.
4. Process for Returns
If you believe an item qualifies for return under the exceptions listed above, you must contact Ingot Auction customer service within the specified period (usually 48 hours of receipt). Please provide your order number, the reason for the return, and any supporting documentation or photographs of the item’s condition.
Once we verify the claim, you will be instructed on how to return the item, if applicable. Returns must be made in the same condition as received, with all original packaging and certificates of authenticity (if provided).
5. Refunds
Refunds for returns will be processed once the returned item is received and inspected. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment, minus any applicable shipping, handling, and restocking fees.
In the case of a refund due to a significant misrepresentation or damage during transit, Ingot Auction will also reimburse reasonable shipping costs, if applicable.
Refunds may take up to 14 days to process, depending on the payment method and financial institution involved.
6. Buyer’s Premium and Fees
The buyer’s premium (a percentage added to the hammer price of the auction item) and any other fees associated with the auction are non-refundable under any circumstances.
7. Shipping and Delivery
The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for shipping, unless otherwise specified in the auction listing.
Ingot Auction is not liable for any damages, losses, or delays caused by shipping carriers. In the event of a shipping issue, we will assist you in filing claims with the carrier, but responsibility for the delivery rests with the shipping provider.
8. Exclusions from Returns and Refunds
The following items are not eligible for returns under any circumstances:
Items explicitly sold “as-is” with no warranty or guarantee in the auction description.
Items that have been altered, tampered with, or damaged by the buyer after receipt.
Any item that has been resold, used, or is no longer in the original condition in which it was received.
9. Buyer’s Responsibilities
Before placing a bid, ensure that you have reviewed the item description, photographs, and condition report.
You are responsible for any additional costs, such as taxes, shipping, handling, and customs duties, associated with your purchase.
If an issue arises post-purchase, you must inform Ingot Auction as soon as possible within the allowed timeframe to ensure eligibility for a return, replacement, or refund.
